Monique Rainford, M.D. is a medical doctor specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Rainford is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition to practicing obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Rainford has found many avenues to assist underserved communities through outreach programs.

Pregnant While Black is a hopeful exploration of the issues pregnant Black women face in America. Within these pages, Dr. Rainford draws on over twenty years of experience working in obstetrics and gynecology to offer a primer on Black pregnancies and how to better care for them.
Dr. Rainford has been recognized for her outstanding academic performance having been awarded the John Russwarm Award for Academic excellence and the Robert H. Ebert Award in Primary Care Medicine.

NYCHCPA members are still raving about how informative and pleasing it was to have Dr.Monique Rainford present at our first zoom symposium ”The Positive Impact of Lifestyle Medicine and Covid-19” on July 2,2020. Amidst the challenging times we were experience during Covid -19, Dr.Rainford gave a presentation that was very detailed which focused on healthy living lifestyle, the disparities of women and pre/ post Covid-19 wellness. She kept everyone’s attention way past the hour, her audience didn’t want to her go. She was so connected with each and everyone through the screen as the hosts we noted every one was smiling , nodding in agreement and very engaged. Her expertise on the presentation was phenomenal, she answered everyone’s questions and had a great attitude with humor. She was pleasant to watch and comfortably poised as she presented. That’s what we call professional presenter/ speaker and great educator and we can’t wait to have her again!!!

We had a delightful evening with Dr. Rainford on Wednesday August 10. She spoke about healthy living and the recent book she wrote.
The talk was lively and engaging. She was erudite and spoke from the heart. She spoke for over an hour and everyone was rapt. She had great eye contact and conveyed enthusiasm along with the information. Body language was on point. She allowed audience questions and easily answered extemporaneously. She was positive and encouraging in her answers. All who attended were impressed and very glad that they had taken time to come.
